Digital solutions, special tools and equipment for the workshop

Vehicle manufacturer special tools are of key importance for maintaining repair quality standards – which is why Bosch offers the opportunity of making a wide range of special tools available to the whole network without needing to own each individual tool. The loan tool program provides year-round access to dedicated special tools for participating dealers – without the need to invest in each individual tool. Participants of the loan tool program will have access to a full suite of tools, allowing them to use the right tools for the job. Participants simply select the tool they need from the stock and it will be delivered to their door. The loan tool program offers a 5-day loan period for the tools, and they can be used as often as required within the bounds of the program. Multiple tools can be loaned at once, ensuring that all the tools are there when needed. The tools are shipped out in special shipping cases that protect the tool and can be re-used for the return trip.

Customers expect workshops to have equipment and special tools available, calibrated and in good working condition to work on high-voltage vehicles. Bosch therefore offers a wide range of equipment to support the workshops: general protective equipment, securing the workplace and the vehicle, measurement of voltage absence, installation and removal of high-voltage batteries, leak testing and charging and measuring the battery. In addition, some workshops are expected to do certain work on the open battery. This includes – among other services – the replacement of individual cell packs or control modules and the subsequent restoration of cell balancing using a battery balancer.

A managed equipment and dealer services program for the workshop which includes products supporting both conventional internal combustion engines (ICE) and alternative drive trains (electrical vehicles). As a tier one manager of over 150+ suppliers, Bosch supplies a wide range of capital equipment which is approved and qualified by the vehicle manufacturers for inclusion into a program.
