Ethernet AVB technology

The latest Ethernet AVB technology ensures optimal synchrony between image and audio signals for smooth playback of HD media content with very low latency.

The modern twisted-pair cabling concept facilitates a particularly lightweight, space-saving, and weight-optimized system installation.

Coach head unit with integrated cockpit-cabin HMI

Developed according to the latest user experience standards, the integrated cockpit-cabin HMI in the coach head unit brings connected infotainment to the coach cockpit and cabin. Thanks to its clear structure, the driver always has a good view of all the essential information on the touchscreen, and all the main functions are only a tap away. In addition to that, the head unit provides a voice control system, a Bluetooth® hands-free facility and is equipped with an integrated 3D NDS map navigation system with the relevant POIs displayed as pictograms. Alongside access to the cockpit functions, the driver can of course use the HMI to control the entertainment in the passenger cabin too.

Coach media router

The latest generation Coach Media Router is AVB-capable and brings broadband internet to the coach. It provides passengers with a high-speed internet connection via Wi-Fi and lets them access a wide variety of multimedia content through their personal smart devices. The router supports delivery of HD-quality content protected by DRM (digital rights management). This content can be streamed centrally via the individually configurable high-resolution monitors in the passenger cabin as well as on the passengers’ own devices. It means passengers can enjoy the latest movies, TV series, and a wide variety of music channels and magazines at any time and from anywhere in the coach cabin.

The Coach smartRadio offers a variety of media playback options. It includes state-of-the-art features like audio streaming via Bluetooth and hands-free phoning. This radio platform has been specially designed for use in the coach, intercity bus, and city bus segments.

Coach smartPanel

The Coach smartPanel expands the range of functions of the Coach smartRadio by providing access to a variety of additional useful media sources for passenger entertainment. The clearly structured operating concept simplifies controlling media playback in the coach cabin, and the clear-cut design blends in harmoniously with the interior of the driver’s cockpit.

Coach DVB-T2 tuner

Nowadays travelers expect mobile TV to be digital and offer interference-free reception and ultra-sharp picture quality. The DVB-T2 Tuner from Bosch is one of the first to provide HD quality in coaches. It has integrated USB and HDMI ports for importing audio and video files into the coach system, and playback can be controlled using a remote control. Even on tours that go through several countries, optimal reception of encrypted TV channels is assured thanks to the integrated CI slot.

Coach media router

The Coach Media Router transforms the coach cabin into an entertainment hub. Passengers can log in via Wi-Fi to access the latest movies, most popular TV series, and a vast selection of music channels directly in the coach’s own media library.
