Denoxtronic dosing control unit

Essential control data is transferred from the engine control unit to the Denoxtronic exhaust-gas treatment control unit via the CAN interface. Sensors provide information about the temperature, pressure and nitrogen oxide content in the exhaust gas. The control unit uses this data to coordinate the system actuators and inject the urea-water solution into the exhaust tract upstream of the SCR catalytic converter in line with the operating strategy. Furthermore, an on-board diagnosis (OBD) system monitors the components and assemblies in the exhaust-gas treatment system relevant for compliance with the exhaust-gas limit values. The relevant engine data essentially includes the exhaust gas flow, engine and ambient temperature.
