3-in-1 solution in one system housing

The eAxle systems combine the power electronics, electric motor, and transmission all in a compact system housing. The power electronics converts the direct current from the battery into the alternating current required by the electric motor. The electric motor provides the mechanical conversion of the energy, which ultimately transmits the speed to the axle through the transmission and thus drives the vehicle.

The modular design reduces complexity and makes it possible to tailor the power, torque, and installation space to your specific vehicle concept with a great deal of flexibility. Full flexibility thanks to Bosch system competence

Bosch has continuously improved its eAxles concept since 2017: The electric motor, transmission, power electronics, and all system components are developed in-house at Bosch. This enables us to ensure complete coverage of the competence and value chain at system level. The modular solution allows subcomponents to flexibly use different positions within the system housing and thereby meet customer requirements in a standardized, space-saving, and flexible manner.
