With its lifecycle powertrain services, Bosch offers a modular package of connected solutions for vehicle powertrains, which boost efficiency, reliability, and profitability throughout the entire service life of the powertrain system and its components – from development and validation to field operation by the customer and workshop visits. Bosch’s smart services can be used across all vehicle segments and powertrain types – be it passenger cars or commercial vehicles, the off-highway sector, electric or conventional powertrains.
Vehicle data is continuously transmitted to the cloud before being evaluated and compared with existing diagnostic, quality, development, and production data. In this context, specially developed smart algorithms and digital powertrain models in the cloud (“digital twins”) enable quick and reliable detection of any anomalies at system and component level. Vehicle manufacturers receive information on the state of health of the powertrain and the residual service life of its components. Unplanned failures can thus be avoided. Workshops also benefit from information in the cloud for better planning and optimum implementation of their work processes.
