Efficient, electrically powered urban mobility

Today, well over half of the world’s population lives in urban areas. Bosch has developed highly integrated, cost-effective electric drive solutions for sustainable, resource-saving mobility in dense population centers. With an output of 50 kW or more, the Bosch eAxles combine the power electronics, electric motor, and transmission in one compact system unit. Particularly during the many acceleration phases in city traffic, the new silicon carbide semiconductors used in the power electronics offer significant efficiency gains. This makes it possible to reduce battery capacities without sacrificing range.

An extra boost of driving thrills

Speed, performance, and thrills – electromobility is ready to meet the challenging demand for more motor power and driving range. It makes no difference whether it’s a sports car or an SUV; it’s the experience behind the wheel that matters. Electric drive solutions are taken to the next level with system voltages of 800 V, higher power densities through silicon carbide semiconductor technology, and efficiencies of up to 96%. All the drive components are coordinated by a central, high-performance ECU. The benefits are clear: impressive acceleration thanks to high torque as well as rapid battery charging and increased driving range. All this ensures a maximum in driving fun. And if that’s not quite enough, Bosch also offers an eAxle with an extra output of up to 100 kW for an added performance boost.
